Novitech Tax, s.r.o. is a company focused on software development. We develop complex systems tailored to particular customer as well as smaller ones. We have years of experience with large-scale projects, big data and interfaces to external systems.
We are part of the Novitech group, which has a lof of experience in international projects.
Within the innovation of the Tax information system we implemented RDS project - Reform of the Tax administration. The database centralization was one part of it. Data from 102 databases were centralized into one nationwide database. In addition to the possibility of access the data as a whole, this move also saw an increase in their quality as redundancies were removed.
Within the innovation of the Tax information system we have put hardware consolidation into operation (HWK project - hardware consolidation).
The project was put into operation in September 2006. By October 2006 performance and response times had beeen tweaked to meet tax authority user requirements. From that period is an APV DIS / IS RDS / RO RDS hardware consolidated, so a new quality in the operation of the system had been achieved and preconditions for its further development had been created.
The euro conversion had the direct impact on most information systems with no exception to APV DIS/ IS RDS/ RO RDS. Due to the specifics in the taxation area it was a unique tailor-made solution focused on data conversion from SKK to EUR and on modifications of individual applications to allow work with new currency.
Evolution can be ignored, adapted to or to be led. But we cannot stop it.
Due to the second decade of ongoing development of APV DIS / IS RDS/ RO RDS project we have rich experience of migrating to a more sophisticated system and database platforms. Depending on the needs of each application we can use or suppress new features of the target migration platform.
Communication is inevitable part of sound human society. This is true for complex information systems as well. APV DIS (IS RDS) had implemented communication interfaces to following institutions:
The most widespread programming language to date. We use it especially for critical application parts where high performance is needed. All our communication interfaces are based on it. It allows us to create effective data distribution tools used by individual nodes in decentralized information systems. Moreover we use it in our internal projects to materialize goals set by our customers.

Those are the two contradictory groups of requirements we can identify during complex contemporary information systems design and development.
Our long-term experience in development of the biggest information system in the Slovak Republic allows us to combine those two different worlds into the one fully functional system. We can use specific features of a particular database solution our customers use in critical areas where high performance or the shortest response times are required.
Even old Svätopluk new that three wattles are stronger than one. We can apply his wisdom to IT world through cluster solutions. Cluster is a group of independent servers cooperating on one task execution. It consists of processing nodes, their interconnections and shared disk subsystem.

Our portfolio encompasses customer portal solutions. The most important implemented projects were external portal of the Slovak Republic Tax Directorate and an interal project of portal for the primary production system application support.
